The Legacy of Oudh Al Kabeer

The story of Oudh Al Kabeer is one steeped in tradition, craftsmanship, and timeless devotion to the art of perfumery. It begins in the fragrant heartland of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, where Late Mr. Badruzzaman Khan, a visionary and connoisseur of scent, laid the foundation of a fragrant legacy with the establishment of Attar Mohammed Dawood—a name that would become synonymous with purity, excellence, and tradition in Indian perfumery.

Inspired by the sacred aromas of his homeland—oudh, rose, sandalwood, and musk—he dedicated his life to perfecting the craft, distilling not just oils but memories, culture, and spirit into every drop. His work was not just a business, but a passion passed down with care and reverence.

His son, Mr. Moosa Badruzzaman Khan, carried this legacy forward with integrity and vision, bringing the heritage of Kannauj to new shores. Under his guidance, the family tradition expanded across the Middle East, weaving Indian artistry into the rich olfactory landscape of the region.

In 2024, the legacy took a bold and refined new form with the founding of Oudh Al Kabeer in Oman—a niche luxury fragrance house under the prestigious umbrella of Attar Mohammed Dawood. Created by Mr. Kabbir Khan, grandson of the founder and son of Moosa Khan, Oudh Al Kabeer represents the next chapter in this remarkable journey: a brand that fuses ancestral wisdom with modern elegance, grounded in authenticity yet reaching for innovation.

Every creation at Oudh Al Kabeer is an homage to the roots of Kannauj and a tribute to the timeless beauty of the Orient. Using only the finest ingredients and traditional methods, we craft fragrances that are rich, evocative, and unmistakably noble.

Oudh Al Kabeer is not just a brand—it is a legacy reborn. A journey through scent, culture, and generations.
